Roulette Strategies
In its most basic aspect, the roulette game consists of only a ball that spins on a wheel and lands on a square with a number and a colour. Although highly dependent on luck, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t certain casino strategies that you can use to increase the chance of getting big prizes with every round.

The Martingale strategy
It is one of the most famous roulette strategies and can be used not only with roulette but also in other android casino games. Keep in mind that the use of Martingale in betting is a valid system as well. This roulette strategy was born in France in the 18th century and consists of betting a fixed amount on the initial bet and in case of a loss, doubling this bet amount until our bet is won. In this way, the amount that we put as our initial bet when we started playing roulette will have been achieved as a profit. It is used in simple bets such as double or nothing: red-black, even-odd, etc. Let’s explain it with an example using betting units:
Step one
We bet 1 unit on black. If we win, we repeat the same step. If we lose, we go to the next step.
Step two
We bet 2 units on black (doubling the previous wager). If we win, we go back to step 1. If we lose, we go to step 3.
Step three
We bet 4 units on black (again doubling the amount from step two). One more time, if we win, we start over, and if we lose, we continue to step four.
Step four
We bet 8 units on black. As in the previous step, if we win, we start over, and if we lose, we continue to step 5.
Step five
We double the wager again: 16 units. Whether we win or lose, we go back to step 1. If we win in this last step, the winnings would amount to 16 units while the losses would add up to 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 = 15, which mean we earned a total amount of 1 betting unit.
The D’Alembert strategy
This method of winning at the roulette game is based on the Law of Balance, developed by the 18th-century French mathematician of the same name. It is one of the most used European roulette strategies in the casino and is also known under the name of the Pyramid system. Basically, what we have to do is adding a bet unit after a failure; in the same way, just that same amount will be subtracted in case of a win. It is a betting system for players who want to keep themselves to a certain number of bets and drive their losses to a minimum.
Step one
First bet. We bet 1 unit and lose. Loss: -1 Net: -1
Step two
We add a unit. We bet 2 units and lose. Loss: -2 Net: (-1-2) = -3
Step three
We add another unit. We bet 3 units and we win. Gain: +3 Net: (-1-2 + 3) = 0
Step four
We subtract one unit. We bet 2 unit and win. Gain: +2 Net: (-1-2 + 3 + 2) = + 2
Step five
We remove another unit from the wager. We bet 1 and lose. Loss: -1 Net: (-1-2 + 3 + 2-1) = + 1.
Step six
We add a unit. We bet 2 units and we win. Gain: +2 Net: (-1-2 + 3 + 2-1 + 2) = + 3
The D’Alembert system is designed in such way that, at the same number of winning and losing rounds (balance), the final result offers a positive balance equal to the number of winning plays in the series. In this case, the profit is 3 units, which is the number of times we have won or lost.
In the end, these are approaches that offer a certain guarantee that the results in the online casino of your choice, specifically those of European roulette, will be more positive than without these tactics. But as we always say, there are no “one fits all” strategies, so keep in mind that they can fail too.
